New national strategy to improve quality of life in UAE

The authorities of the United Arab Emirates have approved a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving the quality of life of residents.

On June 9, 2019, the UAE Cabinet of Ministers, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, adopted a National Strategy designed to improve the quality of life in the country until 2031.

The national strategy aims to make the UAE a world leader in quality of life through a number of measures and initiatives. They include 14 elements and nine strategic goals that will be achieved by promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, strengthening mental health and adopting positive thinking.

The strategy includes 90 initiatives aimed at over 40 priority areas. One of the most important initiatives will be the creation of the first supervisory body, which will monitor the indicators of quality of life and regularly submit reports to the Cabinet.
