Near the Dubai airport, there was a plane crash with human casualties.
On May 16, 2019, the state-owned news agency WAM, citing the Civil Aviation Authority, reported that the British-registered Diamond Aircraft crashed 5 km south of Dubai International Airport.
As a result of the crash, all crew members were killed - three Britons and a South African citizen.
"A four-seater plane crashed during a mission to calibrate ground-based navigation systems at the airport, which killed all crew members," the report said.
The plane, owned by the American technology giant Honeywell, crashed due to a technical malfunction.
In connection with the accident, some flights were delayed and canceled, but now the airport is operating normally.
