Breakfast at Tiffany's
At the end of January, Tiffany & Co. jewelry house together with its emirate partners - company Damas Jewelery celebrated the opening of the flagship boutique Tiffany & Co. in the world’s largest mall, Dubai Mall, adjacent to Burj Dubai’s tallest tower in the world.
Presentation attended by the president of Tiffany & Co. James Quinn and the brand’s chief gemologist Peter Schneirl, took the form of a friendly breakfast accompanied by the string trio. The boutique for this occasion was decorated with white flowers and ribbons of the signature pale turquoise Tiffany color, and the guests talked in a relaxed atmosphere, not forgetting to look into the secret room, where the world's largest yellow diamond was displayed. Aristocratic luxury was guessed both in the decor of the boutique and in the exquisite serving of breakfast, which I think every girl dreams of, at least once in her life watching the legendary film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with Audrey Hepburn in the title role. I took this opportunity to ask James Quinn to answer a few of my questions.
James, why do you think people thinking about engagement, wedding or other family celebration, first of all remember Tiffany?
Because Tiffany is not just a jewelry brand, it is a symbol of unshakable family traditions, which many forgot about, but, thank God, they remembered again. We offer our customers not only the highest quality diamonds, but also entire series of crystal and silver household items, business gifts and much more, which makes our life more beautiful and harmonious. The very first gifts that appear for newlyweds, as a rule, are wedding rings from Tiffany, then cute trinkets for newborns or elderly family members. All these things pass from generation to generation, and that is why the blue box tied with a white satin ribbon from Tiffany is more than just a gift.
Why did you decide to open your flagship boutique outside the US in Dubai Mall?
This shopping giant is a unique creation of architects who have inscribed it in the new city center of Dubai. We are happy to open the largest Tiffany & Co. boutique outside of America it is here, because we are confident that now all our customers, who are not able to visit another continent often, will be able to appreciate the unsurpassed quality, the unique skill of jewelers and the best service from Tiffany.
Have you brought any special collection to Dubai in honor of the opening of the flagship boutique?
Yes, we brought with us a modern collection of diamonds and precious stones jewelry, which includes a luxurious Lucida® Star necklace with 19 Lucida® diamonds, totaling 94.31 carats and a magnificent set of platinum jewelry with 57 white diamonds, and, of course, the best engagement and wedding rings from the Tiffany® Setting and Tiffany®Novo collections. But most importantly, we show in our new boutique a unique yellow diamond weighing 128.54 carats, cut from a yellow natural diamond found in 1877 in Africa, weighing 287.42 carats. This stone has 82 faces, which is 24 more than the traditional diamond cut with 58 faces. This is a true masterpiece of jewelry art, which today is known to the world as Tiffany Diamond. This diamond is worth a look at it. Do this if you are in Dubai.
