The presentation of the Moscow News newspaper in Arabic took place in Dubai

The celebration of the first anniversary of the resumption of the release of the Russian newspaper Moscow News (Anbaa Moscu) in Arabic after a 17-year break took place in early October this year at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai. The presentation was attended by: Alexander Babensky, deputy chief editor of RIA Novosti, Raed Jaber, chief editor of Anbaa Moscu, who answered questions from local and foreign media and other guests, and spoke about the progress made over the year. In particular, Raed Jaber noted that in the first year of the newspaper’s publication, its readers were residents of 13 countries of the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Great Britain and Russia. In addition, another achievement of the newspaper, Jaber considers increasing the frequency of its release - since June it has been published twice a month, and not once, as it was before.

Recall that the newspaper Moscow News (Anbaa Moscu) in Arabic from 1969 to 1992 was published by the Novosti Press Agency (APN), then its release was interrupted. Since October 2009, the year of the 40th anniversary of Anbaa Moscu, the newspaper’s release has been resumed by the successor of the APN, the RIA Novosti news agency. The goals and objectives of Anbaa Moscu are to establish a dialogue between Russia and the Arab countries, to inform Russia of its position on the entire spectrum of the international agenda, and to strengthen humanitarian and cultural relations.
