In Dubai, the highest flight of civilian drones in the world was made.

In Dubai, the highest flight of civilian drones was designed, designed for long flights. This achievement was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

The model of the drone who made the record is called the Airbus High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS), which in common people is simply called Airbus Zephyr. After a test flight over Dubai, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority gave Zephyr permission to take off at 6:31 am local time on September 11, 2014, from one of Dubai's districts. After that, the device spent in the air a little more than a day, being close to one of the busiest airports in the world, while not interfering with civilian flights.

The drone landed safely back in Dubai at 6:18 a.m. on September 12, 2014. Before the very end of its flight, Zephyr reached a height of 18 thousand 805 m, thereby securing the title of a drone that rose to its maximum height.
