Ford news 2013

At the recent GITEX International Information Technology Fair, Ford Middle East introduced two new products: the 2013 Ford Taurus and Taurus SHO. Both models became the embodiment of new technologies, improved design and driving performance, as well as fuel economy.

Taurus has refined its sporty design - compared to the 2010 base model, it has wider wheels, tires and a radiator grille, larger rear LED lights and rapid hood contours. The SHO uses a black front grille and a wing on the boot lid. Among the technologies that have found their application in these models, one can note the innovative system of automatic speed reduction when entering the corner too quickly with the help of the brake system, with independent distribution of braking force.

The model also uses the advanced MyFord Touch car interface, which consists of two color liquid crystal displays that provide the driver with information about the condition of the car, as well as providing navigation and multimedia capabilities.

As for the engine, the model is equipped with the standard Taurus 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V-6 engine, with the addition of a double independent variable camshaft timing, which allows to increase the effective power and at the same time increase fuel economy. In addition to the existing engines in this line, Ford added a new 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 365 hp.

The interior of the Ford Taurus has changed significantly, thanks to the widespread use of high-quality soundproofing materials. Additional options include massage front seats, rain sensors with automatic speed control, automatic inclusion of a rear view camera when selecting a reverse gear. Models are also equipped with high-tech systems to help the driver in difficult traffic situations.
