Design

For over a century, Van Cleef & Arpels has been offering jewelry creations combining craftsmanship, technical excellence and innovation. In order to create jewelry that is beautiful in both form and content, the House combines the knowledge, experience and skills of various masters.

The primary role belongs to the designer. His task is not only to depict the idea, but also to make the sketch get the approval of all the other masters. At the same time, Van Cleef & Arpels House designers are well aware that when developing jewelry, the beauty and poetry of fresh ideas should be based on a unique and recognizable style - a style in which the perfection of nature itself is an endless source of inspiration. It is a style of impeccable lines and forms, sophisticated femininity, the spirit of exoticism and adventure.

There is no limit to inspiration, just as there is no limit to freedom of expression. If the jeweler expresses himself, changing the shape of the precious metal with several precise and precise movements, then the designer creates in his head, turning the idea into a real project. He creates a sketch, which is then consistent with the rest of the team of artists, and in the process of interpreting the design, sometimes many original and sometimes brilliant ideas are born.
