Photos of an American supermodel with a scandal removed from the largest Dubai mall

After a scandal in social networks, the largest shopping center in Dubai got rid of Bella Hadid's photos.

On June 23, 2019, it became known that photos of the American supermodel Bella Hadid disappeared from advertising images in The Dubai Mall.

Previously, Bella was at the center of the scandal after an unsuccessful Instagram post. In stories, she posted a photo in which the model seems to be kicking an airplane with the flags of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Soon after the publication on social networks, a wave of criticism arose. Bella Hadid removed the controversial post and posted an apology in English and Arabic. She stated that her actions should not look for a political context, and what happened is nothing more than a mistake.

The model assured fans that she simply did not notice the planes in the background, and, taking a photo, she could not even think of "disrespect for these airlines, not to mention these amazing countries."

Hadid, which is the face of brands such as Michael Kors, Dior Beauty and Bulgari, regularly appears on banner ads in malls around the world. Representatives of The Dubai Mall on Twitter said the mall respects "the feelings of the nation and the entire region."

"We brought this issue to the attention of retail chains in order to take appropriate steps," the report said.

Soon, brands abandoned photos of the model. Among these brands was Christian Dior.
