In Dubai, they announced a mega-project for the conversion of the seaport into a shopping and entertainment center.

Dubai-based developer Emaar and P&O Marinas, a subsidiary of DP World, have announced plans to turn Dubai's Mina Rashid Port into a new Riviera-style attraction. The project is estimated at 25 billion dirhams ($ US 6.8 billion) and compared with resort areas such as Portofino, Porto Cervo and Monte Carlo.

Mina Rashid will turn into a kind of "Dubai Mall by the sea" - a shopping and entertainment center and a yacht club. A sandy beach with an area of ​​more than 12.6 thousand square meters will also be organized here. meters and the longest pool of Dubai.

The complex provides for the construction of embankments and a Venetian square with sea views, branded hotels, a private beach, parks, a 500-meter canal with palm trees, art galleries, a theater and a museum. The house of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum with a museum and a theater in a new project will connect a pedestrian bridge.

The QE2, converted into a 13-deck hotel, will also be part of Mina Rashid. More than 400 berths will be able to moor the largest yachts in the world.

Emaar also launched an apartment on the Sirdhana project, named after the first commercial vehicle to dock at Mina Rashid. The houses will be located at the main entrance to the promenade, next to the pool and within walking distance of QE2, a public park and a shopping center.
