World record set in Abu Dhabi during lecture on life safety

The United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi held the largest lecture in the world on first aid.

In the United Arab Emirates, a new Guinness record was set. This time, the largest first-aid lecture in the world was held in Abu Dhabi.

The event took place on Wednesday at the National Theater of the State Capital. Abu Dhabi police set a new world record by holding the largest lecture in the world on first aid. The lecture was attended by 2592 people, among whom were both citizens of the country and residents. Among the "students" were people of different age groups.

It is worth noting that the previous record was set in the UK - then the event dedicated to first aid was attended by 1795 people.

The lecture in Abu Dhabi was dedicated to the issues of proper assistance to people who suffered in various kinds of incidents, including during road accidents. Lecturers also drew the audience's attention to ways of contacting the police and the ambulance service, and demonstrated the actions that must be taken in case of various injuries.

The grand event was organized by the National Theater of Abu Dhabi and dedicated to the celebration of the Year of Zayed. The action is aimed at promoting the values ​​promoted by Sheikh Zayed ibn Sultan Al Nahyan.

A world record certificate issued by Guinness World Records reads, "The World's Largest First Aid Lecture Held by the UAE Public Safety and Emergency Services at the Abu Dhabi National Theater, UAE, April 17, 2018." However, the lecture actually took place on April 18.

The head of the Central Operations Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Ali Halfan Al Daheri, received a certificate of establishing a world record from the hands of Samer Haluf, Head of the Guinness World Records Unit in the Middle East and North Africa.

Mr. Daheri said: "Today, we are here to fix an unprecedented world record. We managed to hold the largest lecture in the world on first aid."

The official noted that "this step was aimed at improving the security of people and will also help strengthen the economic growth of the state."
